In the end, what you do isn't going to be nearly as interesting or important as who you do it with..

Every place you travel will change you. Its inevitable. You arrive with your preconceived ideas and a list of things to do and what to avoid. Whether you planned the trip yourself or hired a professional, you aren't going into the situation completely blind. I happen to love every aspect of traveling. The planning, packing, and journey is enough to make me feel as if all is right in the world. Then there's a bit of magic that is added to the experience. This magic is in the form of a person who totally syncs with your wanderlust. They hype you up way before the trip, are involved in every single detail, has a similar desire for things to do, turns up at every opportunity, a foodie who will walk miles to indulge in fine dining, photographer who knows all your angles, and compliments you in every picture you take. This magical person is Travel Bae...and trust me you will be truly blessed to have one!
I know I make travel look easy but to be completely honest I am only at my best when I plan with my Travel Bae Zaynah. Together we are the gang...whether we are tripping with just us two or hosting a trip for others. The Ying to my Yang...because usually one of us forgets something lol. I've done my fair share of solo travel and have come to a conclusion that memories are best shared with someone who gets you. This is not to say I hate traveling without her. I do and will continue to venture off with others or by myself, but when we wanderlust together shit is another form of epic. You can explore some of our adventures further via her Instagram @beauteefullofgifts.
There is no surprise that our first conversation was centered around a trip to London and Paris. I didn't even know her last name, but there we were making plans for the summer while celebrating a mutual friends wedding vows. We haven't looked back since. We lived in Abu Dhabi together and have walked plenty of streets of various Countries since our initial meeting. Is every moment perfect...Hell No! We fight like real sisters, but that's the beauty of it. Isn't travel compromise? Loosing yourself completely in a foreign place? Breaking things, dropping your phones, cutting your foot, and getting a slight stomach bug? These are the things that make the story better. Those moments that spark your memory when you look at pictures.
When picking a Travel Bae, be realistic about what you want. Vacations are not cheap and time is money. You want to spend your time with someone you thoroughly enjoy. You should have more than one shared interest. You should know what pushes their buttons and how to calm them back down. It can't be someone you are just cool with because you are most vulnerable when you aren't home. The person can be of the same sex as you or opposite sex. They have to be reliable in all aspects as well because emergencies can occur no matter what. Last but not least, communication is key and there should be lots of it prior to trip, during trip, and after. Enjoy the snippets from travel with my Travel Bae. There is never a dull moment, even while walking off the train. May you be successful at finding yours...

And hash backstage with the band in Paris. And French baes. And glamping in the Agafay Desert. And standing out in the cold attempting to get a night pic of the Eiffel. And wandering aimlessly in Venice while tipsy off a bottle of wine. And deep conversations about fathers on Diani Beach. IMY!
